Coach Corrinet graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 2002 with a B.S. and with a commission as an 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army. As an Infantry Officer, he graduated from U.S. Army Ranger School, later deployed to Iraq for twelve months as a Stryker Platoon Leader, and then served with The Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. In 2007, he resigned his commission as a Captain and joined Teach For America, where he went on to teach 8th grade Algebra I for three years in Watts. For the next three years, Coach Corrinet taught 8th Grade Algebra I at R. H. Dana Middle School (DMS) in Hawthorne, CA and served as a MAST Transformational Teacher Leader in partnership with LMU’s Center For Math & Science Teaching (CMAST). In 2013, Coach Corrinet switched gears and established ‘Wiseburn CrossFit’ – a non-profit, school-based, CrossFit affiliate at DMS. The program has impacted thousands of middle school students and over 50 faculty/staff members, now includes an 8th grade Barbell Club/Olympic Weightlifting Team, and numerous through CrossFit P.E. and numerous after-school fitness clubs and teams. Outside of school, Coach Corrinet enjoys spending time with his amazing wife (Nicole), son (Reed), and yellow lab (Tucker) in addition to drinking coffee, building furniture, workout out, and spending time outdoors.Coach Corrinet holds a valid California Clear Teaching Credential in Physical Education and certifications as a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach, CrossFit Level 1 and Level 2 Trainer, CrossFit Kids Trainer, and a CrossFit Movement & Mobility Trainer.
