8-9FEB18: Baseline #1

For today’s lesson, we will learn one of the most important movements…EVER! It’s called the air squat, or simply the squat, and we’ll really break this one down step by step before putting it to use in today’s WOD.

Today’s WOD (you can find it below the videos) also happens to be one of our three benchmark met.cons for the semester, which means it’s one of only three workouts that we will complete a second time before the semester is over (did I hear the PR bell ring?!?).  It’s called “Baseline,” and we will be using it as a way to measure and test our fitness gains over our five month training cycle. Ideally, we will see our time drastically shrink for this workout when we complete it our second time, as our fitness level and metabolic conditioning will have significantly improved.

-5 Air Squats
-10 Burpees
-10 AbMat Sit-Ups
-400m Run
