7-8MAY15: Inverted Burpees

Today we are going to turn it up quite a few notches in terms of difficulty level from one of our more recent movements, the wall-walk, and learn what is called an ‘Inverted Burpee.’  Given this is a rather difficult movement, we will spend some time breaking it down piece by piece and taking some time to practice it before we implement it in today’s WOD. Here’s our video of the day that will help teach us this new skill…prepare to get a little dizzy today!

WOD: ‘VERTIGO’

In a group of 3 (1 athlete completes the entire workout while 1 counts & 1 coaches form):

In front of a clock set for 9 minutes, the athlete will complete:
2 minutes of Burpees
2 minutes of Sit-ups
2 minutes of Inverted Burpees
1 minute of Burpees
1 minute of  Sit-ups
1 minute of Inverted Burpees

*Score TOTAL REPS COMPLETED
