23FEB15: 400m Dash #1

Today we’ll be completing our first time trails for an event called the 400m dash – an event that is popular in track and field and that can be found both middle school/high school/college level competitions as well as in the summer Olympics. Before we head outside to run a few trials and determine our fastest 400m time, we’ll watch the quick video below and talk about strategy for how to best run this event.

For those athletes who did NOT run their first mile for the semester last week, today you will make that up instead of running the 400m dash to better prepare you for the upcoming CA State Fitness Test.

WOD: 

3 x 4oom Dash (Rest 2 minutes after each attempt)

Record only the fastest time in fitness journal tracker
